Un miembro de nuestro equipo, Markel García-Díez, es co-autor de un artículo publicado en la revista The Lancet Planetary Health. El artículo, liderado por la doctora Rachel Lowe, se titula "Climate services for health: predicting the evolution of the 2016 dengue season in Machala, Ecuador", y comenzó a gestarse en 2016, durante la etapa de Markel en el Instituto Catalán de Ciencias del Clima (IC3).

Our workmate Markel García-Díez is going to present the study "Evaluation of multi-physics urban-scale forecasts in the city of Madrid" in the upcoming European Meteorological Society annual meeting, that will take place in Dublin between the 4th and 8th of September 2017.

From June 4^th to 11^th, Santander will host the Sailing World Cup Series Final. Embracing this opportunity, in Predictia we will offer during these days one-day ahead high-resolution (370 meters) meteorological forecasts in Santander and its bay. This high-resolution prediction resolves topographical details that others, with broader resolution, can not see (e.g. the bay or the city of Santander).

Del 4 al 11 de junio, Santander acogerá las Series Finales de la Copa del Mundo de Vela. Aprovechando esta oportunidad, en Predictia vamos a publicar durante esos días predicciones meteorológicas de alta resolución (370 meters) en la región de Santander y la bahía.

In the night between the April 28th and 29th, temperatures below zero affected La Rioja Alta and Alavesa, a Spanish wine producing regions. Due to the phenological state of the vineyards and other crops, the freeze has caused considerable damage and production will be affected.

En la noche entre los días 28 y 29 de abril se produjeron heladas tardías en La Rioja Alta y Alavesa. Debido al estado fenológico adelantado de la vid y de otros cultivos, estas heladas han causado daños considerables que afectarán a la producción.

El Simposio del C3S sobre Servicios Climáticos para el Sector Energético (22-23 Feb, Barcelona, Epaña) reúne a científicos del clima y la energía, representantes de la industria energética y entes públicos de la administración para la presentación y debate de nuevas ideas, y contribuir al diseño de los productos que en un futuro proporcionará el C3S para el sector de la energía.
