We are proud to announce that Predictia has recently joined the European Topic Centre on Climate change adaptation and LULUCF (ETC CA). European Topic Centres (ETCs) are consortia of institutions in European Environment Agency (EEA) member countries with expertise in specific environmental areas, contracted by the EEA to support the implementation of the EEA work programmes.
ETCs are centres of thematic expertise contracted by the EEA to carry out specific tasks identified in the EEA Multiannual Work Programme and the annual work programmes. They are designated by EEA following a Europe-wide competitive selection process and work as extensions of the EEA in specific topic areas. The ETCs, working together with Eionet countries, facilitate the provision of data and information from the countries and deliver reports and other services to the EEA and Eionet.
The European Topic Centre on Climate change adaptation and LULUCF (ETC CA) is focused on the topic area of climate change adaptation and Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) and works in partnership with the EEA under a framework partnership agreement for the period 2022-2026. ETC CA is formed by a consortium of 17 European organisations and is lead by the Fondazione Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC).
The ETC CA assists the EEA in supporting the implementation and developments of EU legislation and policy by monitoring and assessing climate change impacts, hazards and adaptation and LULUCF, contributing to the harmonisation, quality assessment and sharing of data and/or information in the framework of the EU Green Deal, supporting in particular the EU Strategy on Adaptation to Climate Change.
In the context of the ETC CA, we will have the opportunity to carry out exciting projects related to climate change adaptation that we hope to announce soon.
